Do You Remember This Massive Display at Montana State Fair?
It's almost Montana State Fair time in the Electric City, and each year when it rolls around, I find myself reminiscing about some of the more unique things I have been a part of at it. Interviewing artists, incredible food, mingling with people from all over the state and country. It is always a wonderful experience. One of those experiences that you make have taken in is actually the world's largest. Do you remember seeing it?
This Art Installation Was a Little Hard to Miss Back in 2018
Each year, the fair hosts a variety of artists and creators displaying their work throughout the week. Craftsman in wood, metal, photography, painters and even clay work. The talent of these artists is dumbfounding to me. But this creation from 2018 has to be one of the largest ever on display. The artist even touts it as the world's largest, coming in at over 12x the size of a normal one.
What is This Huge Piece of Artwork and Who Is the Artist?
The "Herd Bull" is the creation of Montana Native American artist Benji Daniels and has been featured across Montana and several of our surrounding states. The skull is over 2 tons of steel measured out to nearly 15 feet long and 21 feet wide. After it's display at the fair, it was said that there was a possible buyer for this artwork in Great Falls.
