Grand Opening of Aquatic Center Postponed in Great Falls
A much-anticipated grand opening in Great Falls has suddenly been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Scheels Aim High Big Sky Aquatic and Recreation Facility is cancelling the grand opening that had been scheduled for this weekend in the Electric City.

The new facility located at the Lions Park, made the announcement with the Great Falls Park and Recreation Department.
Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening are Both on Hold in Great Falls
According to the Great Falls Park and Recreation Department in a social media post, the reason for the sudden cancellation is:
"Due to a glitch with the electrical system that is beyond the control of the contractor and owner, the ribbon cutting and tours for the Scheels Aim High Big Sky Recreation Center that was scheduled for Friday, June 28, 2024, has been postponed. Along with this, the opening of the facility that was scheduled for Saturday, June 29, 2024, has been postponed as well."
Great Falls Recreationists Will Have to Wait for a New Date
The center is hoping that the problem can be resolved as quickly as possible, but due to uncertainty, a new ribbon cutting date and grand opening have not been released yet. Those dates will be determined in the near future.

The aquatic center and the Park and Recreation department stated that:
