It's Almost Round Up Time at the Honker Hilton in Great Falls

Each year in the spring, the GFPRD release waterfowl kept through the winter into the Gibson Park pond and area.  But once the weather begins to turn cooler and the heat dissipates, they are once again rounded up for shelter during the winter at the Honker Hilton.

The waterfowl enclosure is located at the North end of the park, dating back to the mid-1900's.  The insulated building will be home to the ducks, geese and swans that call the park home each year, with city workers taking care of them through the winter.

Come Join the Fun of the Annual Round Up at Gibson Park

This year, the annual round up will occur on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 10:30am at the park pond.  All of the waterfowl will then be moved to the Honker Hilton for the season.  The Park and Rec Department are encouraging everyone to attend, and for families to bring kids as school isn't in session for the day.
