Check Out the New Artistic Power Boxes in Great Falls
The holiday season is just underway for 2025, and I think I am already starting to feel some of it. But I am feeling it in a good way; each day trying to find something good and believing that, yes, the glass is half full.
But at the same time, I am probably going to poke the bear a little with a statement in regard to our fair city. Great Falls doesn't have a great reputation. Whether you live in it or not. People don't refer to us as the "G-Funk" because we have a lot of musically talented people creating a specific sound. However, there are "glass half full" moments popping up recently across the Electric City.

Since 2011, the city of Great Falls has offered artists the opportunity to paint power/utility boxes inside the city limits. The partnership of the Great Falls Business Improvement District (BID) and the Downtown Development Partnership (DDP) has helped improve the feel and look of city with unique creations by local artists. The program is also supported by the City of Great Falls, the Montana Department of Transportation and the Clean Slate Group.
