No Surprise Anymore, It's Another Recall for Trucks in Montana

And the hits just keep on coming. Within a week's time, I have written more recall stories than I have in any given entire month through the year. The week included recalls about brake systems, tailgate failures, bad granola bars and meal kits.

But yet here I am again, finding another manufacturer recall that could affect those with a certain but popular truck on Montana highways. And while a smaller recall, it is highlighted by the "do not drive until fixed" warning from the company.

Stellantis Issues Stop Driving Advisory for Dodge Pickups and Other Models

The Mopar website on December 13th, 2024, has issued a stop-drive advisory for older models Dodge pickups, certain model Dodge cars and one Chrysler model. The advisory is related to the Takata airbag recall beginning in 2015.

The new advisory states that at issue is un-repaired vehicles equipped with faulty parts which could, if "remain unrepaired, the greater the risk of an airbag rupture, in event of a crash." according to Mopar.

In the advisory, Mopar indicated the following models are affected:

2003 Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500
2005-2010 Chrysler 300
2005-2010 Dodge Charger
2005-2008 Dodge Magnum
2008-2010 Dodge Challenger
