New Tour to Feature Montana Junior Golfers this Summer

An exciting new opportunity for junior golfers in Montana is set to kick off this summer across the state.  The Western Montana Junior Golf Tour will be featuring some of the state's best players competing at some of the best courses from June to August.

The new organization is hoping to grow the game of golf for youth in Montana and to "teach valuable life skills through the game of golf, such as honesty, integrity, respect and responsibility."

Circuit is Based in Butte, With Separate Age Divisions for Girls and Boys

The MJGT is based in Butte, Montana and is supported by the Butte Junior Golf Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization.  The Tour is open to boys and girls aged 10-17.  Golfers must be a resident of Montana and a member of the Tour.

There are 3 separate age groups for each of the boys and girls:

  • Girls 10-11
  • Girls 12-14
  • Girls 15-17
  • Boys 10-11
  • Boys 12-14
  • Boys 15-17

Courses Featured in Western Montana Include Helena, Anaconda and More

Junior tour players will have the opportunity to play at great courses across western Montana.

  • 3 different courses in Helena
  • Dillon
  • 2 courses in Butte
  • Anaconda (including Old Works)

The tour is currently accepting players with an initial fundraiser set for the Butte Country Club on May 18th.  Tour play for juniors will begin in Helena on June 17, 2025, with the tour championship coming the Butte Country Club on August 12th, 2025.  Find out more about the Western Montana Junior Golf Tour here.
