New totals from the Montana Department of Revenue show that those sales have finally reached a huge number.
March Sales in Montana Dip Slightly Compared to 2024
In data from the Department of Revenue, sales in Montana for both recreational and medical combined totaled $26,582,252 in March 2025. About $375,000 less than sales in 2024 for the same month.

However, with those latest figures, Montana has now exceeded $1 billion dollars in recreational and medical marijuana sales. $1,023,210,727 to be exact for those sales since January of 2022 through March 2025.

Of the counties that offer legal sales of marijuana in Montana, there are 3 that lead the way in total sales across the state. Those include the following:
- Yellowstone County - $4,643,275
- Gallatin County - $4,050,455
- Missoula County - $3,093,639
