Surveys show that butter is an all-time favorite for people to use. Nearly three quarters of those responding said that it was their favorite ingredient, and over half said they "literally couldn't live without it".
Stocking up for the big meal means using more than double the weekly average a normal family uses butter. During the holiday, around 5 sticks of butter are used per household. That is a lot of sweet potatoes on the table!
