Celebrate Youth Hunting With Framed Certificates From Timberland
The thrill of the hunt will return across Montana with the general rifle season opener next weekend. But youth hunters have a special opportunity to get into the field early one week earlier with the annual youth hunt.
Being able to keep the memories of that very first hunt is much easier in our technological world with the ease of a photo from a phone camera. But one local business in the Electric City is making it even more memorable with certificates for that first deer.

You Can't Eat Horns, but They Sure Are Cool on the Wall
Growing up in a hunting family, it never occurred to me why we didn't have any taxidermy in the house. Except for a Canadian Lynx rug that was terrorizing chickens when my father was a teenager that was eventually trapped on the mountain. I was so jealous of other kids and their parents with huge elk or mule deer hanging in the living room.

Upon asking why we didn't have those, it was a quick and short response that only a father can deliver:
"Son, you can't eat horns."
But going back in time, I would have saved that little 1x2 whitetail buck to have it taken to a taxidermist and I would still be hanging it on my wall to this day.
Local Great Falls Business Helping Support Youth Hunters Keep Their Memories
Longtime Great Falls taxidermy and processing shop Timberland Taxidermy is hoping to help hunting families preserve those memories and traditions of the first hunt with a special certificate. Successful youth hunters can bring their game in and receive a "master hunter" framed with photo certificate.
The business is hoping that the certificate can help "to celebrate the next generation of hunters and preserve your hunting memories". You can learn more about the special certificate here. I'm pretty sure if this was around when I started hunting, it would be right up next to the little buck on the wall.
