Where is the Best Ski Resort for Beginners in Montana?

I have to admit, I am a tad envious of those individuals who are naturally talented, especially when it comes to sports activities.  The ability to just "wing it" and come out smelling like a rose.  Every single time.

It is probably the biggest reason I never pursued the winter sport in Montana that consumes so many.  One shot down the hill on an old set of wooden skis that I found in our cow barn, and I knew, nope, this isn't my forte.

A recent thread popped into my mailbox from a Reddit sub that I follow.  In it, the question was posed of where should someone who wants to learn to ski go in Montana?  And by learning, I mean an absolute beginner at this.

The originator of the post doesn't say where they are located within the state, but with more than 15 dotted across the mountainous areas, there are plenty to choose from.  But which is the best for, as the poster described, "pure novice"?

Best Beginner Montana Ski Slopes as Rated by Posters on Reddit

Want to give this popular winter sport a go?  According to the post in r/montana, it is right in central Montana.  About an hour drive from Great Falls.  In reading comments from experienced skiers, Showdown Montana was the resounding winner of them all.

Many commentors felt that Showdown offered the best in beginner slopes to help anyone of any ability enjoy the mountain.  However, there were also commentors that gave tips on where not to go as a beginner.  The winner in that category also was a runaway.  Montana Snowbowl near Missoula was suggested as a more advanced skier mountain.
