Great Falls City Code is Pretty Exact on Who is Responsible for Repairs
City code in Great Falls for sidewalks (12.10.070) states that "It shall be the duty of the owner(s)of any premises within the limits of the City to keep the sidewalk in front of and adjoining their premises in safe and functional condition."

Owners in Great Falls should also be using licensed contractors for any repair work. You will also need a permit in order to repair the sidewalk. City code also states that "repairs are subject to inspection or approval, at any reasonable time, by the Public Works Director or designee, before, during, and after construction is performed."
