Selected Honda/Acura Models on Recall List in Montana
With somewhat of a "tongue in cheek" kind of way, I am finding it more and more difficult to come up with fancy or creative ways to say one particular thing. And unfortunately, it seems that it is just happening over and over again.
Yep, there is another recall happening in the auto industry. And it is coming from one of what I would consider "reliable" type of vehicles on the road. But here we are, letting you know about another faulty part requiring another voluntary recall.
Honda and Acura Models Effected Vary, Dating Back to 2022 Model Year Vehicles
From Hondanews.com, a voluntary recall has been issued for approximately 1.7 million vehicles that may have a faulty part in the steering gearbox of certain Honda and Acura vehicles.

According to the release, "An improperly produced steering gearbox worm wheel can swell when exposed to environmental heat and moisture, reducing the grease film thickness between the worm wheel and worm gear. In addition, the worm gear spring preload was set improperly high, increasing the sliding force between the components. Excessive friction between these components can cause abnormal steering noise, increased steering effort and difficulty, or "sticky" steering."
How To Check Your Vehicle if Purchased in Montana Since 2022
If you have purchased a Honda or Acura, model years 2022 to 2025, your vehicle may be affected by this recall. The following models are on the list of recalls:

2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S
- Honda Models
2022-2025 Honda Civic Sedan
2025 Honda Civic Hybrid Sedan
2022-2025 Honda Civic Hatchback
2025 Honda Civic Hybrid Hatchback
2023-2025 Honda Civic Type R
2023-2025 Honda CR-V
2023-2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid
2025 Honda CR-V Fuel Cell
2023-2025 Honda HR-V
If you are the registered owner of one of these vehicles, Honda states that you will be contacted by mail and asked to take your vehicle to an authorized Honda or Acura dealer.

The recall alert also states that "Mailed notification to owners of vehicles will occur in November. Owners of these vehicles can also determine if their vehicles require repair by going to www.recalls.honda.com, www.recalls.acura.com or by calling (888) 234-2138."
