Honda Announcing More Recalls - What to Know in Montana
One of the best life lessons I learned from my father at an early age was that if you take care of something, it will last. I know, it's an old adage. But really, if you do take care of something, generally it will give you the best each time you reach for it.
Unfortunately, you can't take care of something if it you receive it broken. More and more it seems things aren't not only not built to last, but they aren't being built well in the first place.
Honda Recalls Hybrid Models Due to Fuel Pump Issue
A new alert issued by Honda warns owners of certain models that a possible problem involving the fuel system can occur. The recall states "Due to a defective high-pressure fuel pump core, cracks may form inside the fuel pump. During vehicle operation, these cracks can grow, leading to possible fuel leaks; fuel smell while idling or driving; and the risk of fire, crash, or injury."

The voluntary recall involves approximately 720,000 2023-2025 Honda vehicles in the U.S.
How To Check in Montana for Your Honda Vehicle Recall
Honda model years affected are from 2023, 2024 and 2025. The following models are part of the recall:
- 2023-2024 Honda Accord and Accord Hybrid
- 2025 Honda Civic Sedan and Civic Sedan Hybrid
- 2023-2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid
According to the voluntary recall, "Registered owners of all affected models will be contacted by mail in December and asked to take their vehicle to an authorized Honda dealer for a free inspection. The dealer will replace the high-pressure fuel pump if it is found to be defective." You can check your specific VIN here.
