- The remedy is under development and owners will be notified by mail
Popular Ford Bronco Models Being Recalled in Montana
Vehicle recalls continue to be a nuisance for buyers of new model's cars, trucks and SUV's. In 2024 alone we reported on several different recalls for Ford Motor Company, including airbags to faulty motors.
It doesn't look like 2025 is going to be much of a better year for the manufacturer of popular vehicles like the F-Series pickups or the remade Bronco. A new problem could have you leaving parts of your vehicle flying out the back of it.
Ford Issues Recall in Montana and Beyond for Nearly 150k Vehicles
In an announcement through the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, Ford has issued a recall for nearly 150,000 Bronco models with faulty shock tower parts.

The NHTSA stated that the complaint involved:
The long flange rear shock absorbers in affected vehicles may experience corrosion between the external reservoir, mounting flange, and the damper body, resulting in separation of the external reservoir.
If gone unchecked on the Bronco models, the NHTSA further stated that:
If a rear shock absorber external reservoir separates from the vehicle, it can create a potential road hazard for other road users, increasing the risk of a crash.

Montana Bronco Owners Should Check for a Letter from Ford Motor Co.
Effected models included both the Sasquatch and Badlands trim packages for the Bronco. The recalled part was introduced into production on 09/23/2020 and was taken out of production on 07/23/2024.
