• The city of Great Falls will host a National Building Contest for kids in September hosted with the National Association of Women in Construction organization
  • The event is for kids K-6 and will be held at the Paris Gibson Education Center

National Building Competition for Kids Coming to Great Falls

If there has ever been a recent moment in your home that your child decided to remodel their bedroom or create a play space from wood scraps in the garage, there is a new national program that might interest them.

Great Falls will be host to the National Building Contest in part with the Block Kids Building Program.  There will even be prizes awarded to the top 3 builds during the event coming in September.

Event Sponsored by Local Chapter of NAWIC for Kids in Central Montana

The national competition is hosted in Great Falls at the Paris Gibson Education Center in the gymnasium on September 27, 2025, at 9am.  The event is sponsored with the National Association of Women in Construction Montana Chapter #387 to introduce kids to the world of construction careers.

Children in grades K-6 will be able to put their ideas into real creations using a minimum of 75 blocks and a maximum of 100 blocks.  Contestants have an hour to build, without adult help or guidance.

Prizes Awarded to Top 3 Entries - Register Now for the Competition in Great Falls

Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place entries for the competition.  Entries are limited to 80 students for the Blocks Kid Building program.
