CMR’s Bill Williamson Hall Getting Upgrades and New Look for Fall

Could you imagine trying to host hundreds of people in your home each and every day of the work week?  Probably not.  But think about the upkeep you would need to do to accommodate them.  Kind of mind boggling honestly.

But it happens every single day for around 9 months of the year at our public schools.  Kids, teachers, parents all rumbling through.  As such, it isn't surprising some of those areas need a little tidying up occasionally.  The Bill Williamson Hall at Charles M. Russell High School is right in the middle of one now, and hopes are for a late fall opening.

CMR's Bill Williamson Hall Getting Upgrades and New Look for Fall

For the past several months, construction crews have been hard at work with new upgrades and renovations to the Bill Williamson Hall, also referred to as the CMR Auditorium at the Great Falls westside high school.

The hall is used for several drama presentations, along with other school activities throughout the school year including concerts and more.  Renovations to the hall have included replacing the familiar wood paneling gracing the rear of the room:

Great Falls Public Schools Encouraging Everyone to Attend a Show to See Upgrades

As construction on the auditorium continues, other updates are happening to the room including:

• replacing paneling with drywall and a fresh coat of paint
• increasing the size of the production box
• painting the acoustic clouds, improved sound and lighting

Great Falls Public Schools are hoping that by late fall the auditorium will be finished and are encouraging the public to "see and hear the rest of the improvements, we suggest checking out a CMR production" when construction is completed.  No official date was given by the school.
