Historical Items Aren't Easily Replaced, If Ever At All
It was just a short time ago that we were just talking about crime in the Electric City. That Great Falls is one of the worst towns not just in Montana, but in the entire nation for crime.

Most of those crimes and statistics deal with the private sector. Assault, drugs and more top those lists for the nefarious deeds in our town. And not to condone those acts, but I kind of expect them. Just not against our history.
Historical Items Stolen at Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center
During the morning hours of business at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center on September 14, 2024, someone decided to relieve the Center of items from a historical display. The display featured an array of weaponry from our past history.
Those articles included a cap and ball derringer:
The other item taken from the display included a Native American beaded sheath and knife set:
Authorities Notified, But Great Falls Needs to Step Up
The Foundation and Center encourages anyone with any information regarding this bold theft of historical items to contact local authorities with the Great Falls Police Department or with the Sheriff's Office of Cascade County.

The Center added:
We work very hard to create a one-of-a-kind experience for all our guests and it is very disheartening when this type of thing occurs.
Let's go Great Falls. Let's get these items returned ASAP to the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. We are a better town than this.
