Local law enforcement agencies in Great Falls are finally able to catch their breath after the closing of 2024 and having a new year under way. You could say that it has been slightly hectic for them.
Preliminary statistics from the Great Falls Police Department have been released for the 2024 year within the city, and the numbers add up to a lot. Nearly 40,000 calls were placed for some sort of assistance from the department.

9 of the Most Common Calls to the Great Falls Police Department
In the preliminary report from the GFPD released on February 5, 2025, there were 9 specific areas that saw the most calls to the station. In total, GFPD reports that they received 38,922 calls for service.

When breaking that down per day, the average comes out to almost 107 (106.6) calls per day within Great Falls.
Breaking Down the Numbers for Calls in Great Falls to Law Enforcement
Of those nearly 40k in calls for service, one category led by a half again as many as the second most. The most common call in the Electric City comes in the form of 3,299 call for disturbance.

The second most common call perplexed me some, as I didn't realize Great Falls had this serious of problem. 1,730 calls for abandoned vehicles! Incredible!
