In January of 2019, Sheriff Jesse Slaughter took office in Cascade County.  One of his first acts in the office was to create the Sheriffs Legacy Foundation.  The foundation is designed to help with additional equipment and education to keep our students and public safe.  Helping out with the Legacy Foundation is easy this year, with a new fundraising effort coming soon.

Family Sportsmans Night and Fundraiser Is on the Way

This year in Cascade County, you can help with the Family Sportsmans Night coming up on August 28th in Great Falls.  The event will be hosted by the Sheriff's Office at Heritage Baptist Church, 900 52nd St North.  Doors will open at 4:30pm with the event underway at 5:00pm.  Tickets are available now with the Sheriff's Office for an early price of $12, but tickets will go up the night of the event to $20.

A Night Filled with Great Food, Prizes and Fundraising

Besides enjoying a wonderful barbeque dinner, guests will also be able to win amazing prizes from the likes of Armscor, Stone Glacier and more.  You even have a chance at the event to meet and greet with the stars of Shoot Straight TV, Chad and Marsha Shearer.  Chad is a world champion elk caller and will be sharing tips about how to score the big one for hunting season this year.

Want to just get away from it all? Maybe your own island is a better bet? Check this one out in Montana.

Cromwell Island in Montana's Flathead Lake is on the market for a cool $72 million dollars. This is your chance to own your very own private island. You'll just need to complete some of the construction before hauling your stuff across the lake. The listing from Hall & Hall Partners features photos that look like they are out of a movie.
