Colorful Memories in the Falls About Holiday Village Mall
As of late, it seems that our local mall has been in the headlines a few times for both good and not so great news. Recently the good news was that Great Falls would be keeping the Big Lots store located in Holiday Village Mall.
But with all that talk, it also made me look back at what the mall was like when I was much younger and the stores that I miss the most from those bygone years of its heyday.
Not Just About Shopping at Holiday Village Mall in Great Falls
Sure, getting your shopping done was part of it. But the atmosphere is where the charm was for me. So many stores to choose from, so many people wandering about, and so many sounds.

When I finally landed a job inside of it, the experience was once again totally different, like a little soap opera playing out each day. Who was let go from where, who was dating who from what department or store. Seriously, a real-life drama. Each and every day.
I Loved the Smaller, Local Stores in the Great Falls Mall
Sure, being able to shop at a name brand store was cool, but often I found the best items at locally owned stores. The "Worlds" were wonderful, candy shops, even the original Osco was incredible.
