Think You Can Outrun a Great Falls First Responder?

You will get the opportunity to prove your mettle coming up on September 27, 2025, at Gibson Park in Great Falls, Montana.  The Great Falls Police Department is hosting the first ever "Hot Pursuit 5k" for competitive runners, casual joggers, and walkers to compete in.

The new event is in support of the Montana Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.  The race day will feature different distances also, including:

  • 5K with chip timing
  • 1.3-mile fun run/walk — untimed, open to all paces
  • Run alongside a local cop

To register for the Hot Pursuit 5k in Great Falls, head to the online registration website here.  For those that want to run in the time race, you will need to be registered by 5PM 9/24/25 to guarantee an official 5k race time.  There will be several award categories for top 3 overall, first responders, and age group winners.
