One Less Place for Kids in Great Falls
I Maybe Need to Quit Driving with Blinders Downtown in Great Falls
I really don't drive with blinders, I promise. But there are times when I can drive a certain way a few times before suddenly realizing that I have totally missed something. You know, like a business closing shop over 2 months ago.
As I came home from a recent good walk ruined, my travels home brought me by a familiar building on 1st Avenue North and 8th Street. But instead of children through the windows enjoying themselves, it was completely empty. And apparently has been for some time.
For Sale Sign Up at Former Location for Gymnasts in Great Falls
Once home to a car dealership and even a radio station next door, the building at 814 1st Ave. N most recently was home to the Great Falls Gymnastics Academy.
The building now is completely bare of those graphics and instead a for sale sign is now in the front of the lot. I was hoping that they were simply relocating, because most times it seemed they were overflowing with gymnasts and needed more area.. Unfortunately, that isn't the case.

Wait, what? August 23rd? Maybe I DO drive with blinders.
While I am excited for the students to be able to continue with another business, and that those employees are able to transfer, it does mean one less place for kids in Great Falls. Perhaps another, new youth-related opportunity will soon be available. We wish the best for the owners of GFGA.
