Wear and Tear Close Popular Dog Park in Great Falls

Great Falls Park and Recreation has announced that our favorite Fido will need to find a new place to frolic in the Falls for a few weeks beginning at the end of May.  The repairs are part of normal maintenance at the park.

The Pacific Steel and Recyling Dog Park in Great Falls

The park is located at 800 River Drive North in Great Falls and features many amenities for our furry friends to enjoy.  The park is part of the park system within the Park and Recreation department and operates under the same hours, from dawn to dusk.

The park has features such as:

  • Separate areas for small and large dogs
  • Plaza with benches and a pavilion
  • Disposal bags and garbage bins
  • Drinking fountains for both pets and owners

Plan Now for Closure at Great Falls Dog Park into June of 2025

The park will be closed to the public beginning on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 6am.  The GFPR estimates that the park will be closed through June 16th.

Maintenance personnel will be fertilizing, re-seeding and irrigating the area during the closure.  They will then wait approximately three weeks for the turf to rejuvenate and recover.  You can read more about the Pacific Steel and Recycling Trailside Dog Park here.
