If there were a way to snap my fingers or rub a magic lamp with a genie in it granting wishes, I would make sure that there would never be a need for an animal shelter in Great Falls or anywhere for that matter.  Or a rescue group helping unwanted animals.

I know that will never happen, so in the meantime, I try to help with our local Great Falls Animal Shelter when possible.  Dropping off a bag of food, blankets or even just a case of paper towels can make a huge difference for those animals.  And now, hours at the shelter are even more friendly for those wanting to stop in on the weekend.

New hours for Saturday visits at the shelter will now be open to the public from 12pm to 4pm, each weekend.  The updated hours are to help those wishing to adopt according to the GFAS, stating that "the total number of public hours on Saturdays will remain the same, with four hours of service now offered during a time that better aligns with community availability."

Great Falls Animal Shelter Announces Fundraising Campaign with Online Auction

For those that are looking for ways to help the GFAS, the annual shelter auction is returning between April 20-26, 2026.  The proceeds from the auction will help with the shelter throughout the year with essential shelter services, including medical care, food, enrichment, and adoption efforts.
