You don't have to be a chef to understand the need for a good knife in the kitchen.  Or several styles of them even.  But for those that aren't a connoisseur of fine cutlery, let's just that it can get pretty pricey if you don't learn from your first mistake.

In our home, my wife and I have split many of the things that revolve around the dinner hour.  We trade off cooking and picking up the table, but most of the time it is me that loads the dishwasher.  And I can proudly say after much coaching, my wife only adjusts 1-2 items anymore when it come time to run it.
