Home Improvements That Might Not Impress Your Great Falls Neighbor

As someone who lives on a busy one-way street in Great Falls, Montana, I try my best to keep my yard and home in somewhat decent shape.  Keeping the lawn trimmed, and adding flowers, shrubs and more help that curb appeal when folks drive by.

But am I causing havoc with my neighbors by making those improvements to my property in the city limits.  I certainly hope not, but now I am starting to wonder about my new fence and a few other upgrades that we have done after finding a new survey online.

Home Improvements That Might Not Impress Your Great Falls Neighbor

Just a few years ago my wife and I decided to tackle our backyard debacle.  As part of it, we replaced a large section of chain link fence that separated our yard from one of our neighbors.  We replaced it with a 6ft tall pine board fence for better privacy.

After getting an ok from our neighbor, we built and painted the fence.  But a comment about it afterwards had me thinking they weren't all that thrilled about it.  The neighbor jokingly said that maybe we didn't like them anymore.  Hardly!  They are some of the best we could ask for.  But it begs that question about making improvements that your neighbor might not be excited about.
