For the past 34 years, Habitat for Humanity in Great Falls have been helping families achieve the dream of owning their own home. The program has been a successful one, with 47 affordable homes being built in those 3 decades.

As the 35th year of the Homeowners Program begins, the group is once again teaming with local contractors and families to build their dream, with applications now open for 2026.
How to Apply for Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program in Great Falls
Besides sweat equity in building a home, prospective applicants will need to meet certain qualifications to be considered for the program. Those include:
- Demonstrate a need for housing
- Meet income and program guidelines
- Be able to pay an affordable mortgage
- Be willing to complete sweat equity hours
- Be a first-time homebuyer or have not owned a home within the last 3 years
