Despite it being the busiest time of the year for the United States Postal Service, the agency is making time during the holidays to announce when stamp aficionados will be able to purchase new variations in 2026.

With just a couple of weeks left in 2025, you won't have to wait long for the new forever stamps to hit post offices in Great Falls or anywhere across Montana and the country.  And you will be able to celebrate with a wild selection of new stamps to collect for the new year.

USPS Announces New Forever Stamps for 2026

The USPS has announced that there will be at least 19 new designs for stamp collectors to gather during 2026.  And they will be celebrating pretty much anything and everything on a stamp.

For 2026, new stamps will celebrate American history, cultures, nature, sports icons and even the nation's 250th anniversary will all be featured.  To start the new year, USPS will release the all-new Angel's Trumpets on January 9, 2026.  The 4-cent flower stamp will feature a backlit floral photo.

Stamp Collectors Have 10 New Stamps to Collect from January to April

After the January 9th release, collectors will have 9 more offerings from the USPS coming by April of 2026.  Those include:

  • Love Stamps on January 13
  • Muhammad Ali January 15
  • Colorado Statehood January 24
  • Phillis Wheatley January 29

Stamps that will be featured in February and March include:

  • Lunar New Year
  • Bruce Lee
  • Harriet Powers
  • Lowrider Vehicles
  • Sunflowers

Remaining stamps for the year will feature Route 66, the Declaration of Independence, American Bison and more.
