
Several Agencies Make Major Drug Bust in Browning
Over the past several weeks, authorities in Browning, Montana have been investigating a drug ring centered near the Heart Butte area of the reservation. This week, on December 12, 2025, authorities executed an interdiction operation at the Amtrack Station in Browning.
The interdiction netted several arrests, including and individual travelling from Washington State to the small Montana town to distribute the drugs. 200 grams of illegal narcotics were also seized during the operation.

In the informational release through the Blackfeet Nation/Blackfeet Tribal Law Enforcement, the operation was conducted after an individual was identified to be living in Heart Butte and distributing drugs in the area.

The investigation culminated once the male Washington-based individual was identified at the Amtrack station upon arrival from Washington state. Once detained, officers executed a warrant for the suspect's luggage. The search led officers to discover over 200 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 26 grams of deadly fentanyl powder.
Authorities Make Several Arrests, Others Also Arrested in Connection
Authorities have arrested the individual, and he has been formally charged. Other arrests also were executed on individuals who were there to meet the alleged drug dealer. They have also been charged with assistance to distribute illegal narcotics.

The Blackfeet Tribal Police, Big Sky Safe Trail Task Force, Northwest Drug Task Force and the Glacier County Sheriff's Office were all involved in the interdiction on the reservation.
