This Personal Favorite is Just 20 Minutes from Great Falls, Montana

For me, I think one of the most overlooked but best towns in Montana is Belt.  Home to the Huskies; with enough character to fill a few chapters in any history book about central Montana.

It is also home to what many consider the start of rodeo season in the area with the annual Belt Rodeo, held each Father's Day.  But if you missed it, don't worry, you didn't miss finding out what makes this town one of my favorites.

A Town Unites:  Despite a Pandemic, Belt Brings the Arts

As the pandemic rules subsided, many activities that once were didn't come back, or were put on a back burner that still isn't being used.  Belt Performing Arts Center and Belt Valley Chamber of Commerce came together to bring a big party to the small town instead.

That party will celebrate its 4th year on August 24th in the form of Beltstock 2024.  To be held from 5pm to 11pm at the Belt Rodeo Grounds at Castner Park in Belt, Montana.  The theme for this year's party is all about bringing back the 80's.

Tickets to the family-friendly event are $30, children under 12 are admitted free with a paid adult.  Food and beverage vendors will be on sight, and people are encouraged to bring your own lawn chair, or you can use the bleachers.  To purchase tickets in advance and camping availability, information is available here.
