Cool Off at the Revamped Largest Waterpark in Montana
When it comes to being outside in the summer in Montana, one of my favorite things about the state is we have so many opportunities to get to water. Cooling off in a creek, stream, river or lake just can't be beat in Big Sky Country.
One of the best ways to take advantage of that water is in the northwest section of Montana. It is where you can find the state's largest waterpark, nestled amongst the mountains of Columbia Falls.
Not Just Waterslides at Big Sky Waterpark in Montana
Sure, riding the multitude of slides at Big Sky Waterpark is a must. But there are a ton of other awesome things to find for fun at the park. Grab the putter from the bag and try out the 18-hole miniature golf course.

Take each other on with balloon battles and water wars. There is even beach volleyball to try your hand at. Or kick back and relax at one of the barbeque/picnic areas with family and friends.
Areas Previously Closed Back Open at Columbia Falls Waterpark
In reports from the Hungry Horse News, the park has undergone a big renovation since the start of 2024. Those improvements include rehabilitating or replacing slides, sanding and spraying a new slippery coating on them. In all, the upgrades totaled nearly $1.5 million dollars.

Of special note with the revamp, the tower for two of the most popular slides has been rebuilt and available for access. The tower for both Geronimo and Bonsai had been out of service since the pandemic. You can learn more about Big Sky Waterpark and make your reservations here.
