On her Facebook page, Tina Henry, the Cascade County Clerk of District Court, announced her intention to run for re-election.

The Back Story

In 2019, Faye McWilliams announced her retirement as Cascade County Clerk of District Court.

Henry applied to complete the remainder of her term and was required to designate herself as a Democrat.

Henry has decided to run for re-election as a Republican.

Up until this point I had not considered myself a Democrat or a Republican and had voted both parties throughout my voter lifetime.
Shortly after being sworn in as Cascade County Clerk of District Court, I filed with the Secretary of State to retain my seat as Cascade County Clerk of District Court, was elected by my peers, and have served honorably as the Cascade County Clerk of District Court as an elected official since January 2021.
As most of us are aware, we are currently living in a time of political unrest. This has inspired me to take a deeper look at what I truly believe and to answer the question, am I a Democrat or am I a Republican? In answer to my question, I have decided in the upcoming election, I will be running as a Republican.
This decision is not one I have made lightly or with haste, as it has taken me well over a year to conclude that for the 2024 election I will run as a Republican to retain my seat as Cascade County Clerk of District Court.
I look forward to my continued service to you, the Citizens of Cascade County.
