Phase One Has Begun on New Housing Development in Great Falls
Great Falls has seen some incredibly encouraging growth opportunities come our way within the last few months. Janicki Industries announcing a new manufacturing plant, Winco, Dave's Hot Chicken and more are just some of the excitements building in the Electric City.
New housing is another aspect of our city growth, with the potential of the Little Shell Tribe creating the Good Medicine Community, and the new Lariat Subdivision, located in the southeast part of the city. The latter has recently broken ground and will be bringing more than just housing to the area.

As phase one continues, construction workers will be "installing new water, sewer, and storm drain systems, along with road construction, asphalt paving, and sidewalks that will support the future neighborhood" according to Central Plumbing, Heating Excavation through social media.
New Subdivision in Great Falls will Include More Than Just Housing in Area
Plans for the Lariat Affordable Housing Development call for more than just homes in the area. When complete, the project calls for 156 new homes to be constructed, and will also include an office building, a dog park, and tennis courts.
Phase one construction is expected to last until this fall in Great Falls, with the second phase of the project anticipated to begin in the early spring of 2027 as weather allows. In the meantime, the area of 7th Avenue North will remain closed or partially closed to traffic. Central Plumbing, Heating, and Excavation will provide barricades and detour signage to help guide traffic during construction. They will also maintain local access to residences.
