The Great Carrot Recall - What to Know in Montana
November seems to be shaping up to be just as wacky as the rest of the months this year. Between cars and food items being recalled, your bingo card is probably filling up rather nicely.
This past weekend brought another opportunity to make a mark on that card as the Food and Drug Administration has warned of a E. Coli breakout affecting most of the US regarding carrots.
Products Sold Nationwide, Company Based in California
The organic carrots in question are from Grimmway Farms based in California. According to their website, they are one of the largest, growers, producers and shippers of carrots in the world.

The carrots are sold under the names of Cal-Organic Farms and Bunny-Luv. The current outbreak of E. Coli has been linked back to them after state and local public health officials interviewed people about the foods they ate in the week before they got sick. Of the 27 people interviewed, 26 (96%) reported eating carrots.
Don't Be Worried About Carrot Cake for the Montana Holiday Season
Probably not a main staple at your holiday dinner table, but no, in Montana we won't need to be worried about the recall for carrots of this particular company. Fortunately, we don't have any stores that carry these products currently.
