Montana Sweet Pea Festival Promises Fun for Everyone
The city of Bozeman, Montana is likely to be more known by the college mascot or some of the famous folks that call the area home. The likes of Tom Brady, Bill Gates and Justin Timberlake have all spent time in the area.
But Bozeman is also known for culture, art and music. All of those will be coming together for one big annual festival that promises fun for everyone that take in the massive 3-day event coming in August.

The 48th Annual Sweet Pea Festival will kick off on August 1st, 2025, and last 3 big days in Bozeman at the Lindley Park. The community festival is filled with live music, dance, theatre, visual arts, children’s activities, local food, and more.

The festival features a main stage for music, with a mix of national touring acts, rising indie stars, and regional favorites. Americana, reggae, folk, country and rock, and more can all be heard during the event.
History Behind the Sweet Pea Festival in Bozeman Goes Back to 1900's
The original Sweet Pea Festival was modeled after the Sweet Pea Carnivals popular in the early 1900's across the country. Launched in 1977, the festival aims to bring the community together through music, dance, visual arts, and community celebration.
The festival is for all ages and according to organizers "generates an estimated $3.5 million in annual economic impact, with $2.1 million staying local—benefiting small businesses, restaurants, hotels, and creatives."
