Throughout the evolution that is the world wide web and the internet, certain content created and viewed may not necessarily be on the up and up.  And with the creation ability of artificial intelligence, it has become increasingly difficult to determine what is real and what is fake.

AI has been infused into everyday life with things like ChatGPT becoming what many of remember as something akin to "Ask Jeeves" back in the early days of the internet.  But could AI be giving a false and construed view of what really happens in the real outdoors and with wildlife in Montana?

Does AI Give a Weird Perception of Montana Wildlife to Kids?

"If it is on the internet, it must be true..."

But is it?  You have more than likely at some point been duped into something from the internet.  I know have!  Especially with AI generated videos involving animals, wild or domesticated versions.  The crazy bunnies and raccoons on a trampoline definitely nailed me:

The amount of these crazy videos inundating my social media feeds is incredible.  And they just get further and further out there.  Like this bear interacting with a cat and a toddler on a porch:

Are videos such as these giving children (and adults) an unrealistic and dangerous idea about wild animals when they do encounter them?  Think of the how tourists act in the National Parks.  AI could be creating an entirely new generation of "tourons" that quite frankly don't know any better.

Montana Kids Won't, But You Never Know About the Internet's Influence

A new study through the University of Cordoba in Spain reveals that yes, there is the probability that kids could be influenced by these realistic clips.  It may even cause people to want to have some of these exotic animals as pets.  (No, you probably can't...see the gallery below. 👇)

For Montana kids, I doubt that they will fall for the farce.  Unless you count jumping off the top plank of the corral fence onto the back of a cow or bull.  And if you do choose to do so, make sure you have the camera handy for video proof, because, you know, if it's on the internet, it has to be true.
