Whether it is through email, texts, phone calls or fake websites, online criminals will try pretty much anything to crack you. But I have to admit, this new scam involving 3 Rivers Communications in Fairfield, Montana has me scratching my head.

3 Rivers in Fairfield, Montana Warns Consumers About Fake Jobs

3 Rivers Communications has reported that scammers have targeted their business in an attempt to gain access to prospective job seekers with the company. However, the business isn't hiring currently for the advertised job position of remote work.

According to 3 Rivers, the business "has received multiple reports of people applying for remote jobs via ZipRecruiter and possibly other legitimate online job recruiters." The warning continued, stating that the "jobs are scams" and the business does not recruit or hire for remote positions in the company.

Some Job Seekers Fooled into Believing They Had Been Hired by Montana Company

As part of the warning, 3 Rivers Communications said they had been in touch with several employment seekers who were told by scammers had said they had the job and handed over personal information to the online criminals.

3 Rivers advised that "Although ZipRecruiter and the others may be legitimate, the scammers that are posting recruitment ads for 3 Rivers are not." The company says anyone seeking information about employment to contact them directly with inquiries.
