Montana Consumers Beware of This Due to New Recall

Our health is one of, if not the most important factor we all face as we age and make our way through life.  Just like Juan Ponce De Leon searching for the Fountain of Youth, we search for ways to make our ails go away and try to extend our time here.

However, those products can be just as bad for us, or maybe even worse than the maladies that we are trying to cure.  Which leads us to another recall happening across America and right here at home in Montana.

Health Supplements Could Contain Dangerous Ingredients on Montana Shelves

Generally speaking, most supplements are fine for you.  After rigorous testing and research, they finally reach the Federal Drug Administration for approval to the public.  But sometimes it takes time to find things that may adversely affect the user.

G.A. Mart, doing business as H&Natural has recently found that two of their products contain possible dangerous levels of the plant yellow oleander.  Ingestion of yellow oleander can cause neurologic, gastrointestinal and cardiovascular adverse health effects that may be severe, or even fatal. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, abdominal pain, cardiac changes, dysrhythmia and more.

After a random FDA testing, the company is voluntarily recalling 2 lots of products.

Better Check the Medicine Cabinet to See If You Have Any of These

If you are a fan of these supplements by H&Natural, you may want to check the codes and expiration dates of them.  The recalled dietary supplements can be identified by the H&NATURAL logo and the following descriptions:

  • Tejo Root, Raiz de Tejocte, H&Natural, Healthy and Natural, Dietary Supplement, 10g pills, is packaged in a box or bottle, with UPC (196852946921)
  • Brazil Seed Pure Natural Semilla de Brasil, H& Natural, Healthy and Natural, 0.167g seeds, packaged in a box or bottle, with UPC (195893047529) (196852820641) (195893698721) (195893236893)(196852134618) (195893336975)
  • Recalled lots are labeled with the following expiration dates, 3/24 and 5/24

Consumers that have the recalled H&NATURAL TejoRoot or H&NATURAL Brazil Seed lots should stop using the products and discard.  Consumers with questions regarding this recall can contact G.A. Mart by phone at (928)389-4805 or ag@gamartgroup.com on Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, MST.
