With Great Falls home to an important Air Force Base within our community, it means families will be relocating to our area throughout the summer.

It also means those families will need direction on how to ensure their child or children are able to attend school in the Electric City.  A yearly seminar is on the way with the local school system to help with those challenges and make the transition an easy one for everyone in the family.

Which Schools to Malmstrom Air Force Base Kids Go to in Great Falls?

Families that are incoming to Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls have 3 choices for schooling for children, depending on the age of those children:

  • Loy Elementary School
  • North Middle School
  • C.M. Russell High School

To help facilitate those new families, GFPS hosts an information seminar on August 13, 2025, from 10am to 1pm at Loy Elementary School.  The school is located at 501 57th Street North in Great Falls.

What to Expect at the Information Seminar with Great Falls Schools

The event will feature registration support with school personnel on hand to answer any questions students or parents may have.  Parents should bring the following to help with the registration process:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunization Records
  • Hand Carried School Records
