JD on the Road - A Montana Boy in Kentucky
I am a car guy through and through. So, when the opportunity to take in a custom Corvette being delivered to the new owner, I knew I had to go. That opportunity would take me to Bowling Green, Kentucky, home of the plant that makes these awesome rides.
But it didn't offer up just the chance to see Corvette Lane lined with brand new cars, it also allowed the touring of the official museum of Corvette, and it is simply breathtaking.

My Corvette Obsession Began Early in a Montana Theatre
Most of you know the actor behind Luke Skywalker. But after Star Wars, Mark Hamill also starred in what would shape my car dreams for the rest of my life.
The show would feature a car that still lives in my dreams today:
Unfortunately, I have yet to have one of these in my stable. But fortunately, my father-in-law is a huge fan and collector, and offered to have us join in the process of grabbing his at the factory.
A Montana Boy in Kentucky and Corvette Heaven Immediately
Picking up a custom ordered car from the factory is an experience that is barely describable. Seeing it sitting waiting for you is euphoric to say the least.
An extensive walk through of the care and feeding of your new C8 takes about 2-3 hours, then some pointers on how the factory rep won't be allowed to show you how to hard launch all 495 horsepower off the line.
And then suddenly you are out the door in your new Corvette.
