Trick or Treating seems to be making changes lately, one being the increase of Trunk or Treats instead of going door to door but one guy made his house THE house to trick or treat at. And it wasn't the full size candy bars that the kids were going for.

Are Kids Picking The Potato Over Candy?

This trend started as a joke when a guy in Milwaukee gave kids an option. They could either take a full size candy bar or they could have a potato. Nothing special, not cooked, just plain old raw potato.

It turns out a majority of the kids ended up picking the potato. They even said there was a group of 15 kids that came through and they all wanted a potato so the homeowner ended up running out of potatoes before he ran out of candy!

Is The Potato Trend Making Its Way To Great Falls?

I have heard many of my friends discussing the possibility of giving out potatoes instead of candy and apparently it is becoming a thing! My concern of course would be the kids that decide to use potatoes as a projectile however, I love the idea of kids bringing home a potato mixed in with their piles of candy.
