Will The Job Market Be Better In 2025 For Montana?
When facts are presented to defend, or statistics are used to show trends, they are difficult to deny. I mean, numbers don't really lie.
And while a firm believer in those facts, stats and numbers, I still find a new survey by Wallethub hard to swallow. Even though the science says otherwise, I don't want to believe we rank this low for jobs in 2025.
34 Different Criteria Were Used in Study of 2025 Job Market for Montana
In order to show job-market strength and economic health for the study, 34 different "key indicators" were used by Wallethub. The indicators included employment growth, median annual income or the average commute time.

When the results came in, Montana wasn't anywhere close to being in the upper ranks of states that would be great for a job in 2025. And this is where the numbers for me might not paint the picture that we want to see. Or for others to see either.
Montana Ranks One of the Lowest in the Nation for Jobs in 2025
The new study shows that Montana is almost at the bottom of rankings among states. While New Hampshire sported an overall score of 65.99, they had the top spot for job market rank. They also were in the top 10 of economic environment.

In comparison, Montana had an overall score of 46.97, job market ranking of 39th and economic environment was 41st. But does that mean Montana isn't a great place to raise a family, put down roots and enjoy life? Absolutely not. Don't let numbers fool you. Not to mention you get to live in the "Last Best Place."
