Which Montana Cities Made The List?
Women make up almost 51% of America's population, yet there are plenty of places that they can feel like second-class citizens due to poor pay, poor health care, and poor safety.
WalletHub wondered which cities in America gave women the best chance at success, and to do so, they analyzed 182 cities for key indicators such as the median earnings for women, the quality of women’s hospitals, and the suicide rates for women.
So what two Montana cities are contributing the most for women's physical and mental well-being?
#45 - Billings, MT
Billings received a "Total Score" of 58.55, while their "Women’s Economic & Social Well-Being Rank" was #45 and their "Women’s Health Care & Safety Rank" was #83.
One additional positive aspect for Billings is its ranking of #4 for the lowest unemployment rate for women in the country.
#41 - Missoula, MT
Missoula received a "Total Score" of 59.81, while their "Women’s Economic & Social Well-Being Rank" was #82 and their "Women’s Health Care & Safety Rank" was #40.
This is positive news for both cities and further illustrates why Montana is often referred to as "The Last Best Place" in America.
