Is This the Best Name for A Dog from Montana?

What's in a name?  Well, a lot, depending on the item.  Some folks name inanimate objects, such as tools, perhaps a funny name for the family home, even naming your vehicle.  And they are all personal in nature, generally.

When the time comes to name the new pet that is entering your home, it also means a lot.  Picking a name that is easily recognized by them, not confusing them and other pets by using similar names, or even how the name will or does fit each individual pet's personality and disposition.

Some Pets Just Naturally Name Themselves Upon Seeing Them

When my wife and I adopted one of our current pets, the name game was pretty easy for us.  Golden in color, we went the easy route, Kona.

The same thing happened when we adopted one of our other dogs also, he too was able to make it easy for us, garnering the moniker, Jester.

Will You Be Considering a Pet in the Future That Will Need a Name?

In a recent survey with Pets at Home, people responded with names that verge on classic, perhaps even timeless.

Here are the top 10 that are looking to be big in 2024:

  1. Luna
  2. Teddy
  3. Milo
  4. Lola
  5. Coco
  6. Daisy
  7. Poppy
  8. Buddy
  9. Bailey
  10. Willow

I mean, who doesn't love a long-drawn-out call for a Poppy or Daisy through the forest or across the plains?  But are these really Montana dog names?  No Ruger?  Nothing named after a beer or whiskey, or even a lowly Scamp amongst the bunch.

Everyday items that our pets love more than their expensive toys

We spend a fortune on brand new toys for our pets. Chances are that they will completely destroy those at some point. But before that destruction happens, there are some normal, everyday items that we have in our homes that our pets would rather play with. The best thing...these "toys" are usually way less expensive.
