Is There Contamination at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls?
For anyone spending any time either watching your television or surfing the internet, you have probably come across a graphic, small video or televised commercial talking about the contamination of drinking water supplies at Camp Lejeune. It isn't just that particular base though. It is affecting over 200 of our bases across the country.

The Department of Defense in a new report state that over 455 bases have reported above normal levels for PCB's. Those forever chemicals:
have been linked to cancer, birth defects, decreased immunity, high cholesterol, kidney disease and a range of other serious health problems
According to the DoD, thankfully, Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls is not listed on the report. It doesn't mean Montana is in the clear though.

While Great Falls may be off the hook, for now, Montana does have one city that is being looked over for those contaminants.
Fort William Henry Harrison and the Helena Aviation Readiness Center are currently in the remedial investigation phase. Good news, right? But here is the thing, how are our military bases not up to snuff? The Department of Justice has stated that they will now start enforcing the Environmental Protection Agency national drinking water standard. How have we not always been doing this?
