The Great Falls Public Schools are looking for individuals that are excited about entering a new year and entering a new phase. Schools across the Electric City are in need of teachers, but more specifically they are looking for elementary teachers.
Teaching Statistics in Montana - Are They Skewed Because of Size?
In data by the National Education Association (NEA) for 2024, Montana teachers lag behind the national average in pay. Salaries for beginning teachers in the state are the worst in the nation, with average salaries ranking just 42nd in the nation.

While those two statistics are part of the reason for the shortage, it could also be the more rural locations of our schools and whether people are willing to move to those outlying areas.
Make A Difference in Great Falls Student's Lives in 2025
GFPS will be holding an informational seminar for aspiring elementary teachers on January 23rd, 2025. The event will be held at Morningside Elementary School in Great Falls beginning at 5:30pm.
