At the end of each school year, many districts take inventory of various equipment, buildings and more.  Once those numbers and reviews are put through, certain it items are offered to the public for sale.

Great Falls Public Schools have crunched all of the data and are now ready to offer items to everyone to have the opportunity to bid on them in an online auction.

Montana Code and Surplus Items - How Items are Chosen for Sale

According to Montana Code Annotated Section 20-6-604 allows for the sale of surplus items within the district:

Whenever the trustees of a district determine that a site, building, or any other real or personal property of the district is or is about to become abandoned, obsolete, undesirable, or unsuitable for the school purposes of the district, the trustees may sell or otherwise dispose of the real or personal property.

How To Bid on Surplus Items from the GF School District

The online silent auction is currently available for the public to view items and to make their bid on.  Items are sold as is, with no written or implied warranty and no refunds.  Items currently up for sale include:

• Professional photocopier
• Chevrolet C7500 Cargo Truck
• Various tools including jointers, panel saws and more
