
Great Falls Fast Food Staple Shuts Doors for Good
If you have a craving for a Frisco Burger, Mushroom n' Swiss or Hot Ham and Swiss in the Electric City, you are now fresh out of luck to get one. The longtime staple in Great Falls that had one last location is finally done.
The 10th Avenue South location of Hardee's in town has closed indefinitely according to signs and former employees of the fast-food chain on social media.

Earlier last week, announcement hit the news that the two locations of Hardee's in Billings, Montana would be closing. And not seeing anything indicating that the local location would be joining, I thought my Hot Ham and Swiss would be safe. Especially since losing the downtown location of the burger joint which was a weekly after golf stop for me when it was still operating.

On Friday, December 19th I was running behind and asked my wife if something from a drive thru sounded alright. She quickly mentioned Hardee's and since it was on my way home and convenient, I pulled into the lot to order. And that is when things went south really quickly.
Care for Just a Burger and Bun, Sir? It's All We Have Left!
A huge sign had been hung over the ordering kiosk indicating they were out of pretty much everything that makes a burger a burger. Lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickles, mushrooms, cheese. As the attendant cracked the microphone, they haplessly explained that the location was informed that they were closing and they could whip me up a burger on a bun, but that was all. Yikes!
By Sunday evening, the store had officially called it quits, with signs indicating so on the door and several social media posts across several different groups also saying that it was closed. There were no explanations on if or when the restaurant would be back in operation.
