Finding a Hidden Gem for Skiers in Big Sky Country
I think it is pretty safe to say that once summer is over in Big Sky Country, people may think we hunker down for the winter months and try to stay warm until spring.
That may be the case for some of us, but for many, getting out in the snow is a major event. Montana has breathtaking views from ski areas across the state, including an area that I always think is way more open country than it really is.
Havre Has It - And That Includes the Ability to Hit the Ski Slopes
Located just south of Havre, Montana the "Last Best Ski Hill" offers a throwback with an old-fashioned, inexpensive and friendly ski experience. Named the Bear Paw Ski Bowl, the resort is an all-volunteer operation by local skiers.

The area offers 23 different runs for skiers to enjoy during the season. The hill is open on the weekends and also is dependent on snow levels.

How to Ski the Highline in Montana - Head Just South of Havre
The Bear Paw Ski Bowl is located just 28 miles south of Havre on the Rocky Boy Reservation in the Bear Paw Mountains.
