Developed in 1900, the Chico Hot Springs Resort in Pray, Montana is one of the best well-known secrets in the state.  Featuring a hotel, fine dining and of course hot springs, the area has entertained everyone from miners to dignitaries and celebrities.

History of the Hot Springs in Chico, Near West Yellowstone in Montana

The history of these springs traces back to Native Americans of the area using the springs for bathing or laundry.  When mining became popular in the late 1800's and early 1900's, an inn was built to accommodate the locals.

Over the years the facility has been home to several different types of businesses, including a hospital, guest ranch, bed and breakfast and more.  Today, it is a destination resort that still features the original hot spring pools.
